vs QR Code Monkey
MonaQR and QR Code Monkey
QR Code Monkey is widely used for free, highly styled static QR codes in the browser. MonaQR also styles codes, then adds print packs, a bio subdomain, image pages and (on Starter/Pro) a link you can change after printing.
What QR Code Monkey is (publicly)
QR Code Monkey focuses on designing a static QR in the browser: colours, shapes, logo. Dynamic or tracking features, if offered, sit on their paid options. Read their site for the current split. They are a strong default when you only need a PNG once.
What MonaQR is
MonaQR is a QR-first maker with styles, print packs, bio pages on <handle>.monaqr.site, image pages, and dynamic links on paid plans. Free: 3 codes, no card. Starter $9/mo or $90/yr. Pro $19/mo or $190/yr. Paid through Whop.
We do not run ads on the product pages. Plan limits are enforced on the server.
When MonaQR is a better fit
You will print for a room (tents, stickers) and may need to retarget the URL.
You want one code that opens a small page of links on yourname.monaqr.site.
When to stay with them
You want a one-off static file and you already like their designer. There is no need to switch for that job.
